Just saw the results of the last poll. Seems like we need to call the fire brigade. Clearly, many of us are on fire and that is a sign of the times so for those that are feeling the heat, here’s what needs to be done.
1. Look at your tasks and prioritize (whether you choose to use an A,B,C system or cartoon characters is entirely up to you)
2. Ask: is it really necessary to do this now? If not, and it is not an urgent task (the word urgent is over-used) then put it back in the inbox
3. If it is urgent-by this i mean something that needs doing straight away, then go ahead and do it
4. EAT don’t inhale your food. this is a catch-all term and it refers to how we should slooooow down, slam the brakes if need be and find a better way.
Friends, sometimes we start our own fires and stoke them too. Let’s contain these fires in the first place.
