Fade In on

A small framed person standing with their face down in despair in a dark room, A small dim light illuminates their visage.  A resounding voice from above echoes the following.

Voice: ‘Hey kid, want to be an athlete? Want to be an Astronaut? Want to be a classical pianist?’

Cut To:

The person raises their head slowly nodding yes.

Voice: “Well you can be anything you want, but you must first dare to dream…”

Act One

A short movie called “dare to dream” was my first attempt at celluloid stardom.  In this film, i played an established entrepreneur named Kash Curry- self-made man and business owner.  Yagnesh played, well a character named what else but Yagnesh – an employee lacking drive, determination and confidence- so, i (Mr. Curry) called him in for a motivational tete-a-tete.

It was a film made on a shoestring budget for a specific audience; oh, not only was Yagnesh the location scout, he was the writer, producer, director and co-star!

Act Two

Anyway, i digress. The film’s highlight was a dialog that took place in “my” office where a discussion centering on how Yagnesh’s lack of confidence was holding him back.  Ultimately, my character motivated Yagnesh to change from being a loser to a winner telling him “dare to dream.”

There were some humor in the film and it will never be nominated for an Oscar, but we all know a Yagnesh and a Kash Curry.  There is the person who sits back lying in wait and then there is the other person who WAITS FOR NOBODY and seizes each day to dream. One merely rents the dream, but the other actually owns their dream.

Act Three

Dare to dream and own the dream-for it costs nothing. Sure, there will be the naysayers ready to drag you down and pierce your dreams with acid tipped arrows, but you are much stronger than that  and will not allow  anybody to burst your bubble. i know this, because each one of you is a winner.

Articulate your dream – verbalize it – write it on a board, wall or set a reminder on your phone. This is your opportunity to shine so make the most of it and  those naysayers will eat their words when they see things happening.   Remember, God helps those that choose to help themselves.

“Dare to dream, but even more importantly, dare to put action behinds your dreams.”
Josh Hinds, from Reach Out For Your Dreams

“So if you have a dream then just believe that you can achieve it no matter what. Even when you can’t feel deep in your heart any words of encouragement, just believe in your dream and your heart will finally show you the way.”
Shuchi Gupta, from Believe in Your Dreams and Yourself!

Keep on dreaming and winning…
