Passion: Karmic necessity…

One question that was asked recently:  “how can one acquire passion?”  It is a very interesting question and one that can be answered in many ways.  So, i wanted to share some thoughts  in this forum.  Passion is the fuel that ignites fire in the belly or to put it another way, many things in life will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart – pursue those.

If you try to light a fire with a burnt out match you won’t get far!

Passion stirs something deep within you and it should be fluid not forced, so if you try to focus on skydiving and you don’t like it then don’t necessarily expect to be passionate about it.

Passion is a natural vibrant energy.  Passion is the dynamo that generates positive energy. Passion is often contagious, not only will you be CONVINCED but so will those who associate with you.  It makes us open to new ideas.

Although, in my view and in some cases  it can be cultivated over time and i call this “situational passion”.   Let me give you an example of somebody that i know. This person works in a convenience store from 6am in the morning until the early hours, yet manages to remain motivated, energetic and enthusiastic.

He realizes that he must bring passion to his work or let stress and negativity take its place.  In essence, he realizes what his lot in life is and makes it work for him by creating a conducive working environment. Rather than dwelling on the negative, he looks at how to enjoy his work and as a result brings great passion to what could otherwise be drudgery.

Passion is not age specific, but without it we can age quicker. We see exuberant seniors, but we also see youth with tired, hangdog expressions. That sparkle, that bounce, that glint in the eye accompanied by that smile-this is passion my friends.  It keeps us youthful and energized!

We will re-visit this again.

Passion. Live it.

~ When work, commitment, and pleasure all become one and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible. ~~Unknown

If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you. ~T-Alan Armstrong
